With her goal in mind to improve the length and quality of life of her dog patients, veterinary oncologist Dr. Thalheim fosters close relationships with the pups and their families to provide the best care possible. As a strong believer in collaboration, she works with her colleagues at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists in Stamford, CT to create a wellness plan best fit for her patient.
After receiving her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania and becoming board certified in oncology, Dr. Thalheim conducts clinical research, looking for ways to improve cancer outcomes in dogs, as well as humans!
Dr. Pope combines her veterinary degree and extensive training in holistic medicine to deliver the highest standard of care for her canine patients that are diagnosed with cancer. Clients trust her to put their dog’s wellness first. Dr. Pope does so by utilizing holistic modalities such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, and intravenous nutrient therapies during their treatment journey.
Before becoming a board-certified oncologist and practice owner in New Jersey, Dr. Pope earned her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Florida and certifications in holistic therapies, including veterinary food therapy, from the Chi Institute for Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Growing up on a farm with lots of animals, Dr. Fahey developed an early passion for animals and wanted to find ways to keep them healthy. Over a long and distinguished career, he has come to realize that helping optimize animal’s digestive health is the best way to do that.

As the head of the internal medicine department at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists, Dr. Forman is counted on for his extensive expertise by dog patients and their families. He earned his degree from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine before continuing his education at UC Davis to become a board-certified internist.

Dr. Alsarraf started her career at Michigan State University, where she earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine, and continued on to become a board-certified oncologist. After treating dogs with cancer for over two decades, Dr. Alsarraf’s world flipped upside down when she was diagnosed with cancer.
She shares her story, intertwined with those of her canine patients, in her incredibly successful book, “Sit, Stay, Heal”, which highlights life lessons we can learn from our dogs. Dr. Alsarraf says her job brings her joy when she is able to share with her readers and clients what dogs can teach us about living well.
